Origin: Designed by Tinker Hatfield and released on 16 April 2022 as part of the Air Jordan 7 line. This release has the Shimmer/Black/Sapphire colourway. The Air Jordan 7 belongs to Tinker Hatfield's strongest run, the years after the third model when he had established that each release could carry its own material and graphic language rather than repeating a template. The 7 is the most graphic shoe of that stretch, built around bold colour placement and a sculpted silhouette rather than layered panels. Sapphire is an SE reading of it: a saturated jewel blue that gives the shape a single dominant tone instead of the multi colour blocking the model is known for.
