Origin: Released on 16 September 2023 and part of the Jordan MVP line. This release has a suede upper in Black/White/Game Royal. MVP is the most loaded three letters Jordan Brand can put on a shoe, and the model uses them plainly: this is a lifestyle silhouette named after the award, wearing the brand's design cues without being a numbered retro. Black with royal blue is a smart pairing for it, because royal blue is one of the few colours that reads as sport without belonging to Chicago. The brand behind it has been a Nike division since 1997, running its own athlete roster and its own design programme, and models like the MVP are how that division fills the space between the archive and the everyday.
